Samsung To Release SCH-W579 Dual Mode Cell Phone
The CDMA/GSM dual mode cell phone, SCH-W579 from Samsung, will soon arrive in China. With both support for CDMA 800/1900MHz and GSM 900/1800/1900MHz network, users will be freely connected to any available network, thus making it more mobile. Other highlighted feature is the large 240×320 256K colors TFT touch screen display with built-in OCR application which lets users to scan name card using its integrated 2 megapixel camera module and directly import it onto its Contact database.
Measures 94.5 x 54 x 21.15mm and weighs 132.8grams, SCH-W579 cell phone also comes a Li-Ion battery, a secondary 96×80 64K colors TFT display, a 20MB of onboard memory, Bluetooth, Infrared, Office Viewer, and built-in music player with support for MP3 and AAC formats.
