Pharos just recently unveiled its first GPS-enabled smartphone called GPS Phone. This handset is actually a rebrand of Eten’s 500 (Gloofish) cell phone. Aimed for business and travelers market, this quadband GSM mobile phone provides a full-feature sat nav system, thanks to the embedded SiRF Star III GPS receiver and pre-installed Ostia navigation software. It comes with detailed Tele Atlas street-level maps of the whole U.S and Canada. Users can navigate through their Outlook Contacts or POI (Points of Interest), and follow its turn-by-turn voice guidance with multi-stop routing and automatic re-routing capabilities.
On the entertainment side, the GPS Phone offers a large 2.8-inch touch screen display which gives high-res experience for watching movie or TV programme, an integrated FM radio tuner, a 2.0 megapixel camera module with flash and video recording capability, and also pre-installed Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for playing audio/video files. Regarding connectivity, this slim cell phone povides support for GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, and WiFI.

Pantech recently announced its latest cell phone under the SKY range, IM-S150. This compact handset, weighs at just 80 grams, boasts its capability to recognize Korean traditional handwriting on the dual 260K colors TFT touch screen display. It also features an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module with flash, a 64 polyphonic ringtones, and IrDA connectivity (no Bluetooth??) for sending photos and contacts to other phones. Did you ever heard about a phone company Neo before? No? Well, soon you will, once it launches its first cell phone, the Neo 808i. Measures 65 x 40 x 13 mm and weighs less than 90 grams, this small but fashionable handset offers a 256K colors 176×220 TFT LCD display, an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module, built-in MP3 and MP4 player, FM radio tuner, WAP browsing, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and a 128MB internal memory with expansion memory slot supporting up to 2GB of memory card. It runs on tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM network and comes with a battery that provides up to 100 minutes talktime and 130 hours standby time.
Other side, Neo 808i cell phone will be launched in Middle East on March 2007, and later in Europe on April. The company also plans to release another new mobile phone with WiFI and 3G capabilities in the second quarter of 2007.

Another cellphone manufacture Mio Technology presents A701 cell phone, which is doubled as a GPS navigation and PDA devices as well, to Israel market through Orange. The company itself has already conquered more than 70% of Israel’s GPS market shares.

LG Electronics, together with Li Sang Bong, a renowned Korean designer, presented Shine Designer’s Edition cell phone. This special limited edition handset comes with an original text of Yoon Dong Joo’s poem, engraved on the back side of the phone with Korean font. Two more PDAs recently being unveiled by HP Korea, the iPAQ rx5000 Travel Companion and iPAQ rx4000 Mobile Media Companion. The first model, rx5000, features a GPS navigation capabilities with voice guidance, a 3.5-inch touch screen display, WiFI connectivity, e-mail, internet, and optional Bluetooth. It runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system and currently available for 490,000 KRW.
