LG Electronics, together with Li Sang Bong, a renowned Korean designer, presented Shine Designer’s Edition cell phone. This special limited edition handset comes with an original text of Yoon Dong Joo’s poem, engraved on the back side of the phone with Korean font. Yong Doo Joo himself is one of the most beloved poets in Korea.

LG is going to release the CU500 cell phone very soon. Previously shown off at IFA 2006 event, this quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) GSM/GPRS/EDGE mobile phone offers a nice UMTS/HSDPA connectivity which allows users to browse the web conveniently at a blazing speed. Measures 3.8 x 1.95 x 0.76-inch and weighs 3.7oz, it features a unique MusicID function that lets you search for the audio track and singer name simply by speaking into its built-in microphone. And like many other handsets with clamshell design, the CU500 cell phone comes with both internal and external TFT LCD display. Furthermore, it has 10 days standby time and 5 hours talktime. LG and Verizon Wireless yesterday announced the new flavours of the highly popular Chocolate phone - Cherry (red) and Mint (green). The addition of these two colors make a total of four color variants now available, including the original Black and White. Apart from the red and green finish, both new Chocolate cell phones come with the same features as their old slim and sleek brothers. To mention a few, they have an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module, speakerphone functions, Bluetooth connectivity with A2DP, VZ Navigation capability, and microSD card slot for memory expansion. Verizon Wireless customers could also enjoy the benefit of V CAST and V CAST Music service, along with the high-speed EvDO network for convenient web browsing and email access. During KES 2006 event LG shows off its latest handset, LG-SV420. Dubbed as Shine, this cell phone can really shine like a mirror, thanks to the shiny metal body and mirror-style LCD on the front. On the inside, the phone is equipped with a 2 megapixel Schneider’s camera and 1GB of memory. With the provided MP3 player, one can really have some fun with the phone as they can store a lot of songs inside. There’s also a MUVEE feature which lets users to make their own video clips using photos and background music. The company doesn’t mention about the price and availibility though. LG has officially released its VX-9900 cell phone through Verizon Wireless. Dubbed as enV, this handset boasts a QWERTY keyboard layout, eV-DO network support, dual stereo speakers, and an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera module with autofocus and flash and also video recording capability. Measures 4.62 x 2.08 x 0.78-inches and weighs 4.6oz, there’s a built-in music and movie player that supports various popular media formats, such as MP3, WMA, MP4, 3GP, and WMV. Not sure about the capacity of the onboard memory (if there’s any), but the provided microSD card slot at least would give you an alternative place to store the media files. The Bluetooth support also makes it possible to transfer the files from / to PC or other bluetooth-enabled devices.
