There is another news from CEATEC 2006 expo. From Hitachi, it’s about its latest handset, the W42H CDMA cell phone. Powered by Windows Mobile OS, it boasts a Double Scene feature which allows users to switch from business mode to private mode. Other remarkable feature is the ability to quickly change the standby screen image, address book or ring-tone by pressing the ‘Asterisk(*) button’. Furthermore, the Remote Delete function makes it possible to access the phone from remote location, lock it, and delete all the data inside. Really handy especially when someone stole your phone. During KES 2006 event LG shows off its latest handset, LG-SV420. Dubbed as Shine, this cell phone can really shine like a mirror, thanks to the shiny metal body and mirror-style LCD on the front. On the inside, the phone is equipped with a 2 megapixel Schneider’s camera and 1GB of memory. With the provided MP3 player, one can really have some fun with the phone as they can store a lot of songs inside. There’s also a MUVEE feature which lets users to make their own video clips using photos and background music. The company doesn’t mention about the price and availibility though. This GPS-enabled handset features a 240×320 colors display with touch screen user interface, an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module, VoIP, a 128MB of RAM, and a 128MB of Flash ROM with MMC card slot for more storage. Equipped with a nice slide-out mechanism full QWERTY keyboard, this mobile device offers a quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g Wireless connection, built-in FM radio tuner, and useful navigation functionalities (with TMC support for real-time traffic information) provided by the integrated SiRF Star III GPS receiver.
